This year at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas we built an entire neighborhood to introduce our latest app—Streety!

Streety is a new app experience that extends smart home security to the neighborhood. Streety creates a network of neighbors using connected outdoor cameras, allowing neighbors to share outdoor camera feeds and request video clips within a small neighborhood group. This is a perfect solution for when you want to check in on your kids playing in the neighbor’s yard without having to leave the house, when neighbors want to learn more about a porch pirate stealing packages off their doorsteps, when you want to easily share outdoor footage with the houses around you, and much more!

“Streety helps build stronger communities through smarter neighborhoods,” said Clint Gordon-Carroll, vice president and general manager of cameras at Vivint Smart Home. “As cameras are one of the fastest-growing product segments in the smart home industry, neighbors often ask each other if cameras captured something around their home or on the street. Streety makes it easy for neighbors to request and share video so they can take better action, faster.”
