Vivint Gives Back partners with Special Olympics Utah
Vivint Gives Back and Special Olympics Utah kicked off their new partnership by cohosting a Young Athletes Night for children of all abilities. The Young Athletes Program, adapted by Special Olympics, is a sports program designed for children ages 2–7 with or without intellectual disabilities. The program encourages children to be active, have fun, and learn foundational sport skills. Children from all over Utah Valley came and became more confident in play, made new friends, and learned new concepts about interaction and teamwork.
Luke, a 7-year-old boy who has autism exclaimed “I love sports!” the whole evening.
Luis Pineda, a Customer Care supervisor, shared his experience about the evening and said, “It was a very fulfilling experience when a kid came to our station and was excited to play with us and try to learn a new way to play, you could see on their faces that they were having a blast.”
As part of our new partnership, Vivint Gives Back also donated $35,000 to Special Olympics Utah to help fund programs and events throughout the year.
