helping children in need
The Hibiscus Children’s Center in Vero Beach, Florida, is committed to fighting child abuse and caring for affected children. The center provides numerous programs and services to help children and families and is also dedicated to helping children have fun and enjoy their childhood. And that’s where Vivint volunteers stepped in.
Over the summer Vivint technicians in eastern Florida volunteered with the center by planning and carrying out a cookout and game-day for the children. The Vivint employees set up the event in the rain, prepared food for the children and staff, and also played games with the kids. Everyone was excited to partner with an organization dedicated to helping children, so much that some employees traveled over three hours to help with the event.
“We fed 29 kids and 8 staff members, grilled around 80 hamburgers and 80 hotdogs, and had a blast,” said field service supervisor and volunteer Ben Geiger. “We had a great time interacting with the kids, and we were honored to be a part of such an important service.”
