How Vivint is spreading Christmas cheer this season
The Vivint Sub for Santa program is back! Once again our company is working hard to make Christmas just a little bit brighter for kids in around the US and Canada.
All Vivint employees were given the opportunity to donate money and take care of one or more children for Christmas. Each donator was assigned a child and received the child’s Christmas list and basic information—sizes, favorite color, etc.—to make shopping a little easier. Next the employees got to shop for the kids and wrap and label their presents for delivery. The entire process was completed in about five hours.
Depending on which area the child was from, the employees all got the opportunity to drop off their gifts with the children’s parents or deliver them in person for the child to open. By the end of the project, Vivint’s employees were able to share Christmas with 650 kids.
According to Holly Mero, Vivint’s Gives Back Coordinator, the project was a huge success. “We had a goal to raise $40,000 in donations, and we ended up raising $59,000. It’s just such a humbling experience to watch the Christmas spirit in action and see how much people in this company care about the kids. And what’s even more beautiful is to see how excited and appreciative the kids are for their Christmas presents. This program is really an inspiration, and we have every intention of doing it again and again for many Christmases to come.”
