the vivint video surveillance packages

Pan and Tilt

See exactly what’s happening at your home, even when you’re not there.

Quick Stats:

Video surveillance gives you comfort and control.

Knowing exactly what’s happening in your home, even when you’re not there, is an intelligent way to live. With Vivint Video Surveillance, you can access your video clips from your compatible smart phone or web‐connected mobile device. And, because the videos are stored remotely on our servers, you can watch real‐time video of your home from one or more of your cameras. You can watch each angle one at a time, or take advantage of the multi‐camera view to see all camera views on a single screen. Our cameras smoothly integrate with your Vivint Go!Control panel.  We offer two types of cameras: a Fixed Lens camera and a Pan and Tilt Video Camera.

Fixed Lens Camera

Your Fixed Lens camera can be easily set up to record video clips whenever motion is detected or during scheduled times. You can then view, tag and search your clips to retrieve them later.  Each camera also includes built‐in Wi‐Fi or Ethernet connectivity and requires only a high‐speed Internet connection and a power outlet—no need to plug it into your computer or install any software!

Pan and Tilt Camera

The second type of camera we offer is our Vivint Pan and Tilt Video Camera which has a “live look-around” feature that allows you to remotely view your home in real time. The preset positioning function enables you to save and toggle between specific camera angles instantly—all from an Internet browser or your smart phone. And because the camera can swivel, it gives you greater coverage. You can use one camera to cover multiple angles of a room, which saves you money.

Would you like to add Vivint Video Surveillance to your home?

We’re excited to offer you our state-of-the-art home security. We know you’ll be thrilled to take this degree of control & technology into your home. Give us a call to ask us questions and have these cameras installed in your home. We’re open 24/7. So go ahead, give us a call! 1-800-216-5232.

Was just curious if I did this will my current rate stay the same? Would not mind replacing my motion sensor with a camera. The motion sensor has gone off because I have a cat.

    • Jenaé

Chip, you will need to upgrade to a different customer package, however the packages will be available March 1st. If you send me your name, phone number and address to jplymale@vivint.com I can have someone contact you March 1st to discuss your options. Thanks for posting!

  • Craig

Can they be used outside? Or are they only available for use inside? If not – will these be made available in the future?

    • Ian Bell

      Craig,

At the moment we only have internal cameras, but we’re hoping to release outdoor cameras in the near future. There are a lot more exciting products that we’ll be rolling out on a continual basis, and this is just one of many.

      • SadieGirl

I really want the outdoor cameras. Any word on their arrival yet? Thank you!

  • Jessica

will vivint be doing any promos in canada with their new equipment? I received my apx security equipment and thermostat for free just for signing up with you. I would be happy to upgrade my service plan and pay a higher monthly fee to have extra security feature like automatic door locks and video surveillance…but don’t think I want to spend hundreds of dollars to buy the new equipment.

    • Ian Bell

      Jessica,

We’re offering great new deals starting march 1st to all those that sign a new agreement. Just give customer support a call and they’ll help you out with that! 1-800-216-5232

I am interested in learning more about the pan & tilt camera. I realize that they are for indoor use however, is it reasonable to assume that one of these cameras could be placed in a bedroom window (inside the home) that overlooks the back yard, and monitor activities in the backyard? I have some neighbors that border my backyard and they have not only damaged and thrown trash into my yard and at the house, but have also done this with many of my neighbors as well. I need a security system that will capture these activities, so I can present proof to the authorities, ( and the parents) and hopefully rid the neighborhood of some bad element.

When I originally signed a contract for APX 19 mos ago, I expressed my concerns about this feature to the door to door sales person, however this wasn’t available at that time. I do enjoy the home security package I currently have however it is too limited to cover the needs of areas beyond the house itself, especially in a somewhat larger city. I would be very interested in discussing options available or perhaps I should be considering an alternate security company that offers an affordable security option that better suits my needs?

Also, with regard to homeowner insurance discounts that are boasted about when signing up for a plan ( both with this company and your competitors), I would like to know some examples of insurance companies that offer the 20% discount as suggested at the time of signing contracts for security services? My current insurance company offers a 2% discount. I have also checked with several other national insurance companies, and the greatest discount I found offered is 5%….but their insurance rate is 10% higher than what I currently pay. Please provide a listing of the companies who offer the 20% discount as suggested by your sales reps. Publishing this list would only add to your credibility and make it a truly “vive” experience.

I look forward to future discussions on this and other matters concerning the products and services offered by APX/Vivent.

    Thank You

    Ken Lohse

I embrace all these innovations that you undertake to provide a more efficient service. If you do not mind I would like to offer an advice:
In oder to encourage your current customers to resign, it will be more than appopriate to offer them a substancial discount to get the new system and renew their contract. If you do, you can count me in.
    Thanks.

  • Daniel or Cassandra

We are current clients and are very interested in purchasing the video surveillance system for our home. We have a list of other client’s who are interested as well.

    • Ian Bell

      Daniel,

If you can send me your contact information I’ll have one of our customer support representatives give you a call to help you get this set up! thanks! ian.bell@vivint.com

  • Chip

Ken you can get a CCTV DVR System for about $300+ but you would have to hook it up yourself if you need it right away.
I like the direction Vivint is going with their new products. I hope to see more in the future. I don’t need the cameras right now, but I may consider it in the future if they get out side cameras.
I just got my Go pannel. Im like a kid in a candy store, I love it. I do like getting the emails each time I set the alarm. I also like being able to remotely turn the system on and off from my smart phone.

  • Gregory Cornelius

I have the security package “plus”… but had the door remote lock and a couple of glass break sensors installed. At the time I didn’t want the camera. Because I have that “plus” package, I noticed that my account webpage has video enabled but there is no camera installed, additionally there’s a button to add and setup a camera. Can I purchase a camera from you or add a supported camera from Amazon and have it connected to the Vivint system since my account is already setup for it?

    • Ian Bell

Gregory, in order to upgrade to the Video surveillance package, you would need to contact our customer support department at 1-800-216-5232. Even though your account says that you can add a camera, you’ll not be able to add them unless you’ve upgraded to the video surveillance package. If you’re interested, you can also send me your contact info and I’ll have someone contact you!
      Thanks!

      VivintFB@Vivint.com

If I buy my own outside night camera will I be able to hook it up to your system

  • covert cameras

This can be slightly off of topic but I have discovered using Internet protocol cameras to have a number of benefits over classical CCTV systems. Even though modern DVRs work on the internet anyway. I’m considering other individuals opinions about this.
