Smart Drive App Will Be Discontinued
Vivint will be phasing out the Vivint Smart Drive app in the coming months. The app will be removed from app stores on November 30, 2018 and no longer supported after February 28, 2019.
Smart Drive will continue to support Vivint Playback, which provides 30 days of continuous video storage for your Vivint Smart Home cameras, however the Smart Drive app will no longer be supported.
If you have used your Smart Drive app to store photos or personal files on your Smart Drive, you will need to download those photos or files and move them to another storage cloud (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive) or a physical storage device before we discontinue app support on February 28, 2019. If you do not download and move these files by February 28, 2019, you will lose access to them permanently.
To quickly retrieve all of your files at once, we highly encourage you to use a desktop or laptop computer and download our export tool. Please note even though you have until February 28, 2019 to access your files, you will need to ensure you have downloaded the app (iOS, Android) before it is removed from app stores on November 30, 2018.
In the event that you are unable to retrieve your data, a Vivint Smart Home Specialist can restore it for you as long as you call 855.823.0017 by February 28, 2019.
