When Severe Weather Hits, Vivint’s There
With winter quickly approaching, it is always nice to know that your Vivint Smart Home system will keep an eye on the weather as well as your home!
Here’s how your panel weather alerts work: When the National Weather Service issues a severe weather alert, you will hear a beeping notification message from your panel warning you and your family about approaching inclement weather like winter storms, high winds, hurricanes, and more.
Once the National Weather Service dismisses the severe weather warning, the alert will disappear from your home screen.
To turn off the alerts once the weather has passed, tap on the red envelope in the top right corner. Then tap on the alert to read the message fully. By tapping on the alert, your panel will consider the notification acknowledged and the beeping will stop. Please take any necessary actions to prepare for the severe weather described.
