The summer heat didn’t stop Vivint field service technicians in Memphis, Tennessee, from giving back to their community.
In late August, Vivint techs in the Memphis area volunteered at the Mid-South Food Bank distribution center. The center services an impressive 31 counties in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas, providing food for those in need, disaster relief, and a snack program that provides food for hungry school children on the weekends. The center relies heavily on volunteer efforts to accomplish their important mission of helping the hungry, and Vivint employees were happy to help. The volunteers organized and stocked non-perishable items and didn’t let anything distract them from the task at hand.
“The air-conditioner had gone out the day before, so it was hot in there,” said district manager and volunteer Wesley Palmer. “But we didn’t mind. We broke a sweat and had a great experience helping those in need.”
