don’t mess with texas
Vivint employees who spent the summer working in East Texas loved their time in their summer community so much that they were more than willing and excited to do a local service project.
“It was great to give back to the community that had been so good to us all summer,” said volunteer Micah Ricks. “We had experienced so much kindness from the people in Texas and everyone agreed that giving back to our area was a wonderful thing to do.”
More than 20 Vivint employees banded together in Longview, Texas, to beautify the city. Volunteers braved the Texas heat as they mapped out a game plan to clean up a square mile of the city, and then they struck out armed with garbage bags and metal trash claws. By the end of the day, the volunteers had gathered over 40 bags of trash.
According to Ricks, the volunteers are grateful that Vivint makes service a priority and were grateful for the opportunity to give back in their community.
