feeding the hungry in austin, tx
Here at Vivint, we believe in protecting families through state-of-the-art home security technology. However, we also know that there are many families who need more than that—families who struggle to put food on the table. And we want to help them too.
On June 12, Vivint’s summer sales representatives in Austin, Texas, took some time off to give back to those in need in their area. The reps volunteered at the Capital Area Food Bank where they sorted food and packed meals for families in need. “It was an amazing experience to help those in need,” said sales manager Doug Cartwright. “We went out for the day feeling more a part of the community that we’re living in this summer.”
The food bank provides food products for around 300,000 clients per year and relies heavily on the help of volunteers who provide over 91,000 hours of service every year sorting and packing food. The Vivint volunteers were proud to help such a vital organization in the community.
“We felt it was important to give back to the city we have come to call home this summer,” volunteer Morgan Knight said. “We care about our customers, and the cities they live in, and we feel it is important to serve in their communities.”
