Spring is a time many people use to get organized before the craziness of summer starts. If you’re one of those people, this is a great time to add managing your Vivint thermostat to the list. Read on for simple instructions on how to manage your thermostat this season and stay comfortable as temperatures rise in the coming months.

Set your target temperature

  1. Log on to your vivint.com account
  2. Click on your Go!Control web access link.
  3. Click on the “emPower” tab.
  4. Click on “Thermostats”; if you have more than one thermostat, you will need to choose which one you are working with.
  5. Set your target temperature with the “Target Temp” tab.

Set or change your schedules

  1. Log on to your vivint.com account
  2. Click on your Go!Control web access.
  3. Click on the “emPower” tab.
  4. Click on “Thermostats”; if you have multiple thermostats, choose which thermostat you are working with.
  5. On the left side, select a day of the week.
  6. When the new screen comes up, customize your temperature depending on when you wake up, when you leave the house for the day, when you come back to the house in the evening, and when you go to sleep. Schedules will need to be set up for heat and cool modes.
  7. The time can be changed in 30-minute increments.
  8. Once the time is set, select the weekdays where you want to apply the schedule you just created and then click “Save.”
  9. Under the schedule displayed on the screen you can choose to have the temperature in your home set back when the panel is armed in the away mode. Select a temperature. Click on the “Save” button to apply the changes.
  10. At the bottom of the page you can also choose to have the thermostat turn off if the smoke alarm goes off so the smoke won’t spread through your heating system if there is a fire. Check the box at the bottom of the page to start using this feature.
  11. There are also pre-made schedule templates that you can apply instead of customizing your own schedule.
  12. For the system to follow the schedule that you just set up, the mode needs to be on the heat or cool modes on the “Thermostat” page.
