touchscreen panel batteries

There’s never been a better time to change the batteries around your house—including the ones in your Vivint touchscreen panel. Read on for simple instructions on how to do it:

  1. Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw from the top of your panel.
  2. Pull the front of the panel from the mounting plate to expose the interior circuitry.
  3. Unplug the old battery (go here to view a picture).
  4. Detach the old battery from the panel.
  5. Insert the new battery in the same location (our touchscreen panel takes a Batt 1 rechargeable batteries pack).
  6. Plug in the new battery.
  7. Replace the front of the panel to the mounting plate and re-secure the screw at the top of the panel with a screwdriver.

And that’s it! If you have trouble getting a hold of the right battery for your panel, you can call our Customer Support department at 800.216.5232 and have a battery sent directly to your house for $25.

  2. Again a disgruntled customer says:

You might want to tell you tech support people about this page. I called today to have a battery sent and I was told the battery never needed replacing because it was rechargeable. Absolute nonsense. And she wouldn’t send me a battery.

This company needs to get it facts straight. Vivint is as bad as Dish when it comes to customer service and knowing what services the company provides. I was told that i HAD TO pay 50 dollars for a service man to come out and change the battery, even though the battery was covered by warranty. So I asked to just have the warrantied battery just sent to me and I would replace the battery myself. I was told they will not send the battery. I would have to pay the technician to come out. So whats the truth???
